Bulk Product Feeds make it easy for merchant sellers to upload unlimited bulk amounts of products from their online storefront to other popular comparison shopping engines, product portals, shopping networks and seller sites. Shopping engines are just like search engines except they only display results for tangible products that consumers can purchase. Typically, there are less results displayed in shopping engines since they filter out all of the sites that do not offer tangibles. Most of these sites allow merchants to upload products one by one until all of the items are listed, but it is much more efficient to upload them in bulk via FTP. Having the ability to include part or all of your product catalog on shopping sites will save you precious time, can be easily managed and will help jump start your online business by allowing you to get listed right away on established shopping engines that are usually less competitive than search engine results. Captures ecommerce software allows merchants to list their products in several popular shopping engines, portals and sites. Once you open an ecommerce store built using the Captures software you will have the ability to create, upload and manage all you product feeds in bulk directly from your store administrative area. Many of the sites are free to list your products on, but some sites do require a small fee in order to list your items. It is clearly stated in the Product Feeds descriptions whether the site you are uploading to is free or not. It is our goal to integrate our stores with as many different shopping engines as possible, but due to extensive programming and API requirements we stuck with the most popular ones based on traffic and consumer reviews. Some of the places you can upload your product catalog to include Google Product Search, Google Base, Yahoo! Shopping, eBay, Live.com Product Search and more (as new services become available we will update the feed list).

Google Product Search (Google Base, Maps, Web search):
Bulk upload files are a convenient way to create multiple product listings in Google Base and Product Search. Bulk upload files are assigned an item type, which classifies the bulk upload file according to what sort of items it contains. Captures ecommerce software automatically creates a file called froogle.txt for you to upload to Google Base. Once your bulk upload file it is uploaded and processed, your items will be added to Google Base and other Google services. Submitting your bulk upload file can be done easily by selecting your item type (products), registering your bulk upload file (froogle.txt) and uploading your file via FTP from your store administrative area. Your products will be published and searchable in Google once your xml file is successfully uploaded and processed. This usually takes about 24-48 hours to complete. Your items will appear in Google Base, Google Product Search, Google Maps and Google web search.
Yahoo! Product Submit (Yahoo Shopping):
Product feed submission is an easy way to promote multiple products in Yahoo! Shopping and other relevant areas across Yahoo. Product feeds use specific item attributes like product names, descriptions, pricing and more that are shown to consumers who use Yahoo! shopping sites. Captures stores automatically generate a special xml file that follow Yahoo's strict feed specifications. Merchants can list their products easily by opening an account (or signing in), funding the account and uploading the product information file provided by Captures. Your account will be charged only when a shopper clicks on your listing from a relevant category and goes to your store. Pricing to list items depends on the categories that best match your product line. Your products will appear in Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo! Product Search and buyer's guide pages.
eBay (Turbo Lister 2):
Turbo Lister Two (TL2) is a simple way to upload thousands of your items in bulk and create professional looking listings on eBay and it's affiliate sites. TL2 is presented with a slick new design for easier listing and editing capabilities plus you can use it to upload and manage mulitple items in bulk. In addition, this feature allows you to switch formats or add item specifics of multiple items all at once, copy existing items to create new ones, preview listings before they go live, remove fields you do not use from the form and includes a large selection of colors and fonts to create attractive looking listings. Simply sign up for an ecommerce store by Captures and login to your store administrative area to begin using TL2. We make it easy for you to transfer your entire Captures product catalog into an XML file format for download. Once merchants download the xml file it can be imported into TL2 and you can begin uploading and managing your store catalog items on eBay.
Live.com Product Upload (MSN Shopping):
Product upload by Live.com allows Captures merchants to upload and promote their ecommerce store product catalog to Live Product Search, MSN Shopping and other relevant Microsoft services. Live Product Search lets shoppers find items for sale online through storefronts and other Internet retailers by making their product catalog available in an easy-to-use gateway designed to enable merchants to list up-to-date product data directly into Live Search index. Captures makes it even easier to use Live Product Upload by providing them with a special xml file, in a supported format, that can be uploaded to Live Product search quickly via FTP. Product attributes include image, product name, description, price and links to your storefront. Once a catalog has been successfully published and has passed certain validation steps it will be searchable through Live Product Search and gives access to detailed reports so merchants can keep up to date on the status of their catalog and products on Live Product Search. In order to use Live Product Search you must have a Live ID (formerly Passport), fill out the application describing your business, a Live Product Search FTP account and the username and password to your Captures store admin.
